On Wednesday, September 6, at least 16 people were killed as a result of Russian shelling of the town of Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region.

This information was confirmed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, who published a video of the moment of the Russian attack on Facebook.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, 44 people were injured: 16 died and 31 were injured. Among the victims is a rescue worker.
Reports of the attack on Kostyantynivka first spread through social networks.
According to them, the occupiers hit the central market in the city, using the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.
20 shops, power lines, an administrative building and the 5th floor of a residential building were damaged.
8 shopping facilities and a significant number of cars burned down.
The State Emergency Service and the police are conducting a search and rescue operation. Debris analysis is ongoing.
