The publication of the book was made possible with the assistance of the human rights organization UAnimals. The first presentation is planned in Kyiv already this weekend.
“I am glad to present to you the first presentation of the result of almost a year’s work of a whole team of people and my personal treasure – the book “Club of saved, non-fluffy stories”. These are 10 illustrated stories. 10 dollars. 10 stories and 30 illustrations about trials and about love,” the illustrator wrote .
According to her, the first illustrations with animals saved from the war appeared in her “war diary” at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. And then the idea to create a book arose.
“I collected the stories of real people and animals and drew them, and the stories were written by the incredible Sashko Dermanskyi, who so deeply felt the subject, so skilfully and meticulously expressed himself in each story, talentedly drawing through each of them with a red line deep important meanings about goodness and love, that this book will not leave anyone indifferent: neither children nor adults,” Kopytova wrote.
- The publishing house announced the publication of Sashko Dermanskyi’s book back in June. The working title was “Unbreakable Beasts”.
