During the occupation of the village of Hetmanivka, Kupyan district, a local resident voluntarily assumed the position of “and. at. director” of the school.
The collaborator recruited technical staff and teaching staff for this institution, accepted applications from parents of students about their children’s admission to school, informs press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region.
The “Director” emphasized that the educational process will be carried out according to the Russian program using Russian textbooks.
In addition, the woman ordered the librarian to go to the school in the village of Shevchenkove so that she could get Russian textbooks for grades 1-11 and backpacks with Russian symbols for students.
In turn, the Ukrainian textbooks that were in the school “led” by the accused were taken to the library, where they had to be kept until special orders.
The court found a 29-year-old woman guilty of collaborative activity (Part 3 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for supporting the public prosecution of juvenile prosecutors of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
By the verdict of the Kyiv District Court of Kharkiv on August 14, 2023, the woman was found guilty and sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold positions in the field of education and engage in educational activities for a period of 15 years.
The term for appealing the verdict continues.
