The Appellate Chamber of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court will consider the complaint of the deputy of the Kryvorizka District Council of the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Hryhori Ryabikin, against the decision on the civil confiscation of half of a car worth UAH 3.62 million.
Such a decision was adopted by AP VAKS on September 6, “Slovo i Dilo” reports.
As you know, the anti-corruption court found part of the deputy’s assets unsubstantiated, namely 54.17% of the vehicle brand MERCEDES-BENZ, model S 450 4 MATIC, 2021, with a total value of UAH 3,617,388.02, which is equal to UAH 1,959,817.69. It was UAH 1.96 million that was collected from Ryabikin as state income. His representative filed a complaint against this decision.
“Open appeal proceedings based on the appeal of the representative of the defendant (Grygory Ryabikin – editor) against the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court of July 10, 2023. Set a deadline of September 21, 2023 inclusive for the participants in the case to submit a response to the appeal, which must meet the requirements of Art. 360 of the Civil Code of Ukraine, with evidence of sending (providing) copies of the response and the documents attached to it to other participants in the case”the decision states.
It will be recalled that the SAP filed a lawsuit against the deputy of the Kryvorizka District Council of the Dnipropetrovsk region Hryhoriy Ryabikin. According to the prosecutor, the deputy purchased a 2021 Merced-Benz S450 4matic car worth UAH 3.62 million. At the same time, according to the claimant, Ryabikin, acquiring an asset in the form of a car, together with his wife did not have sufficient funds for its acquisition. Therefore, the SAP asked to confiscate UAH 2.2 million, which the couple did not have enough to buy a car.
