The second child was hospitalized, the department said.
The incident occurred on September 9 at about 17:00 on Milyutenko Street.
Two boys, ages 10 and 11, were playing and trying to build a tent when a stranger approached them and offered to help.
After the children refused, the man attacked them, writes the National Police.
Currently, steps are being taken to arrest the suspect.
“Personnel of the Desnyansky police department, operatives of the criminal investigation department of the capital’s headquarters and patrol police were involved in the search,” the department concludes.
