A possible accident at the ZNPP: scientists modeled a new forecast of the movement of radiation

In the event of a possible nuclear accident at the ZNPP, radioactive contamination may affect the south of Ukraine and several other European countries.

This is stated in new research Ukrhydrometeorological center.

The scientists made a study in the conditions under which the conditional accident at the ZNPP began at 5:33 p.m. on September 4. Then air masses could transport radiation emissions to the south over the territory of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, as well as Crimea. After that, a cloud of radioactive impurities would fly over Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Moldova and Romania.

It is noted that such a movement of radiation would have been recorded only in the first 15 hours after the hypothetical accident.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health reported that “ambulance” teams were trained to provide assistance in case of chemical and nuclear hazards.

We will remind, the expert told under which conditions the Kremlin can remain without nuclear missiles.
