Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, who was released from an American prison as part of the exchange, visited occupied Luhansk, propagandist media write.

But’s arrival was ensured by the pro-Kremlin Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR). Bout said he was happy to visit Luhansk for the first time and expressed confidence that “there will soon be peace in the occupied region, and people will live without fear for their future.”

LDPR leader Leonid Slutskyi said that they had to change the route to Luhansk twice because “high-precision weapons were working nearby.”

“But this could not cancel our visit to Luhansk, because it is the point of no return. Donbas and Russia together forever. We will come here under any conditions,” said Slutsky.

Viktor Bout was sentenced in the USA to 25 years in prison for conspiring to kill US citizens and officials. The Russian was extradited to the United States in 2010.

On December 8, 2022, the United States exchanged the terrorist for American two-time Olympic champion Greiner, who previously played for a Russian basketball club. She was arrested in Russia allegedly for drug smuggling.

Then the basketball player was burnt to 9 years in the colony.

Last week, Bout told Russia’s RT that he “fully” supports Moscow’s so-called “special military operation” in Ukraine and that if he had the opportunity and the necessary skills, he would certainly volunteer.
