A seaport was privatized for the first time in Ukraine

This was announced at the end of the auction State property fund.

“The final offer for the Ust-Dunaisk port was 3.3 times higher than the starting price, which was 60 million hryvnias. This result was achieved thanks to significant competition among entrepreneurs – 8 investors competed for the port,” the message reads.

The Fund noted that the winner of the auction must pay the price of the lot within 20 working days.

“We are waiting for receipts in the budget to support our Defense Forces,” the message said.

The government organization emphasized that “Ust-Dunaisk” has great potential for the development of Ukrainian food exports.

The port consists of three assets: the port itself in Vylkovo, Odesa region, the “Kilia” port office in the city of the same name, and the light locomotive service base on Shabash Island. Loading and unloading operations are carried out directly at the “Kilia” post office, located 54 km from the Danube River. Due to the full-scale war, the port is operating at only 5% of its capacity.
