The informant of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who corrected Russian rocket and artillery strikes on places of mass gathering of people in Kharkiv, was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the court’s decision.

The Russian informant also collected intelligence on the locations of the Defense Forces in the territory of the regional center, in particular, fortified areas, as well as routes of movement of units of Ukrainian troops in the direction of the eastern front.

According to the investigation, the convicted person is a local resident who, after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, “poured” information about the deployment and movement of units of the Armed Forces into the Russian Telegram bot. In this way, he came to the attention of Russian military intelligence, which later remotely involved him in cooperation in favor of the aggressor country.
