Ukraine does not have the means to counter Iranian ballistic missiles, which may appear in service with the Russian army, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are working on it. This was stated by the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat at a briefing on October 21.

“Unfortunately, there is such information that Russia will be strengthened precisely by ballistics. I want to emphasize right away that against ballistic missiles, as our specialists in MLRS say, the best defense is to destroy them where they are, or on the road, or concrete. [нужно]of course, because the aeroballistic missile flies from above and falls at great speed,” Ignat said.
He stressed that in Ukraine today there are no means of anti-missile and air defense to counteract this type of weapon, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are looking for methods.
“Iran will probably supply [баллистические ракеты]unless there are some mechanisms in the world to stop these deliveries,” the Air Force spokesman said.
From the “positive” Ignat singled out the fact that such supplies indicate a shortage in the Russian army for ballistic missiles. Missiles of this type – “Iskander-M” – are located in the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation and on the territory of Belarus.
“Ballistic weapons are not something new for us, they constantly strike with these missiles, and the fact that they are already in short supply in Russia is good news. missiles are significantly inferior to Russian ones in terms of technical characteristics.
