The Russians are strengthening Moscow’s air defense due to constant drone strikes. About it reported in the UK intelligence report.
Intelligence officials say Russia has overhauled its short- and medium-range air defense system around Moscow in recent weeks to better defend against drone attacks.
The British write that since the beginning of September 2023, Pantsir systems around Moscow have been placed on elevated towers.
“This will almost certainly allow the system to detect and engage UAV-type targets. However, it is also likely intended to serve as a strong reassurance to the public that authorities have the threat under control,” the report said.
