An explosion at a coal mine in the Turkish province of Bartin caused the death of 40 miners.

According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey, so far it is known about 40 dead, 11 more injured, 58 miners remained unharmed. The fate of one more is still unknown.

It will be recalled that on Friday, October 14, an explosion occurred in a coal mine in Turkey near the city of Amasra, Bartyn province – 300 meters below the entrance to the mine. Previously, the cause was overheating of the transformer, but the exact data are still being established.

Earlier it was reported about 25 dead.

On October 9, a powerful explosion was heard in Istanbul in one of the buildings in the Asian part of the city, after which a fire broke out. As a result, at least one person was injured.
