Another torture chamber was discovered in Kharkiv Oblast: the occupiers abused people in the police premises News of Kharkiv and Ukraine

On September 21, the prosecutors of the Kupyan district prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region, together with the law enforcement officers, conducted an inspection of the torture chamber set up by the Russian army.

It was established that during the occupation of Kupyansk, the Russian military occupied the police station, where a torture chamber was set up in the semi-basement. The occupiers subjected people to physical and psychological violence. In a cell where four people were supposed to be held, Russian mercenaries held more than 20.

According to the victims, they took turns sleeping because there was no room.

To frighten people, the Russian military painted a torture picture on the wall: on the background of the Latin letter Z, a woman with a Soviet flag, and behind her – the occupier. Even here, the enemy army hides behind the backs of peaceful residents and believes that someone is waiting for them in Ukraine.

Currently, all victims at the hands of military personnel of the aggressor country are being identified.

The survey was conducted together with investigators of the Kupyan district police department of the National Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Investigative actions are carried out as part of criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
