JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry (former concern Ukroboronprom) will supply several hundred drones for the Army of Drones by the end of the year, Head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection Yuriy Schyhol said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the share of Ukrainian Defense Industry in the total volume of purchases of the Army of Drones for the front is growing.
“From zero it has grown to what we buy from them today. And zero was back in August. From August, from the moment we signed the first contract until today, the share of Ukroboronprom has grown from one to several hundred drones that have already been contracted. We plan to receive them by the end of the year,” Schyhol said.
He also said that Ukrainian Defense Industry today “is working and producing something that it has not produced before for 10 years.”
“They started making FPV drones, long-range drones. We buy from them and supply them to the AFU,” he said.
