On the night of November 18, Russia massively attacked various regions of Ukraine with Shahed-type attack drones. The air defense responded to 29 enemy drones out of 38 launched, reported in the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The military said that Russian-Iranian “martyrs” attacked in groups of several waves and were launched into the Russian Kursk region.
The Ukrainian military involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces and mobile fire groups to repel the enemy attack.
Russia attacked Kyiv and the region, Odessa and Khmelnytsky regions half the night.
Deputy Chairman of the Khmelnitsky OVA Sergei Tyurin reported about the work of air defense in the region. There were no reports of damage or casualties.
The Kyiv city military administration announced the shooting down of all the “martyrs” with which Russia tried to strike the capital.
- The head of the KMVA, Sergei Popko, said that a multi-level air defense system has been built around Kyiv, which consists of different types of weapons.
