Attacks on the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation
Since the beginning of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, many strikes have been carried out on Russian ships. Perhaps one of the most famous cases is the sinking of the cruiser “Moskva”, which was hit in April 2022.
Recently, in the dry dock in the occupied Sevastopol, the large landing ship “Minsk” and the submarine – the carrier of cruise missiles “Kalibr” were hit. With a high probability, the Russians will not be able to restore them in the near future.
In total, at the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the Russian Federation had 13 ships in the Black Sea. According to the spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, as of now, 5 of these ships are disabled, and two of them are practically destroyed.
