Bad weather in Sumy Oblast: 6 people were injured, including a baby

In Sumy Oblast, in Buryn, due to bad weather, houses have been badly destroyed, rescuers are pulling people out from under the rubble. Six people were injured, including a six-month-old child.

Dmytro Zhivytskyi, the head of the Sumy OVA, reported this on the Telegram channel.

«So far, 4 people with minor injuries, one woman has been hospitalized at the Konotop Central Hospital. A six-month-old child, who is currently in the hospital, was also injured“, he said.

According to him, about 20 private houses were left without a roof.

«There are badly destroyed houses. A gas station and a number of non-residential premises in the community were damaged. Rescuers are pulling people out from under the rubble, Zhyvytskyi added. – Work continues to evacuate people from the affected buildings, the buildings themselves are covered with slate and film from material reserves».

Emergency crews of energy workers are working on the spot.

Earlier, forecasters warned of worsening weather over the weekend, the first snow fell in the Carpathians.
