The Belgian company is ready to deliver ten modernized M113 armored vehicles to Ukraine.
It is reported RBC-Ukraine with reference to Force Operations Blog.
“The first batch of 10 M113 armored vehicles modernized by John Cockerill Defense (JCD) will be able to go to Ukraine as a result of an initiative funded by Belgium, the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg,” the article says.
It is noted that the Belgian company is studying other possibilities for continuing to support the Ukrainian army.
By the end of November, 40 M113 military transport vehicles will be refurbished under a contract received from the Belgian Ministry of Defence.
Vehicles that will take part in battles against the Russian invaders must be equipped with a remote-controlled weapon system and elements for installing 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine guns.
