“We’re sending congressional-sanctioned weapons and equipment directly to the front lines of freedom in Ukraine,” Biden said.
He said that after this package, his administration’s ability to provide security assistance to Ukraine was almost exhausted. To send the next batches of equipment and weapons, Congress will have to agree on the request of the President of the United States.
“For Ukraine to succeed in this new phase of the war, its international partners, including the United States, must continue to demonstrate our unity and determination in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. Congress must quickly agree on a funding request to strengthen Ukraine on the battlefield and at the negotiating table,” Biden said.
