The US president shared a video of Argentina national team leader Lionel Messi holding the World Cup and addressed Fernandez and all Argentines.
“Congratulations to you, Alberto, and to every Argentine on yesterday’s difficult and well-deserved victory. You know, I think Messi has a future,” Biden wrote.
“Thank you very much. I experienced this triumph with boundless happiness, like all the Argentine people. All congratulations to our national team and to Messi. We are at the top,” Fernandez replied.
