The situation in the area of the village of Velika Novosilka in the south of Donetsk region has stabilized. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are successful in this direction.

It is known that in June-July the situation in the area of Velika Novosilka was difficult – intense fighting continued there, in particular west of the town of Vugledar. Over the past four weeks, the situation in the area has stabilized. Scouts note that during the summer, Ukraine liberated at least 125 square kilometers of territory in this direction.
At the same time, the offensive actions of the Armed Forces shackled units of the 36th and 5th combined armies of the Russian Federation, as well as the landing forces, preventing them from reinforcing other areas. British intelligence believes that Russia is unlikely to withdraw troops from this axis in the next six weeks.
«Although the situation in this direction has stabilized, Russian troops are likely to remain in a defensive position to protect against possible future Ukrainian offensive operations“, the message adds.
We will remind that the Defense Forces continue the offensive operation in the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions, where they are entrenched at the achieved boundaries.
They also wrote that as of Saturday, October 7, the Defense Forces advanced north of Kopany and Novoprokopivka in the Tavry direction.
