Chernihiv beer started brewing in Belgium after the closure of plants in Ukraine caused by the war

About this informs Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium.

“The Chernihivske Ukrainian beer bottling line was opened at the Belgian InBev plant in Leuven. All proceeds from its sale will go to $ 5 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine,” the statement said.

The Ukrainian employees of the company, who are currently in Belgium, were greeted by the Ambassador to the Kingdom Oleh Shamshur.

In the comment Sky news diplomat reportedthat the resumption of production can be seen as a “symbolic” step, because “people who drink” Chernihiv “will think of Chernihiv, a city that was attacked by the Russians and resisted the Russian invasion.”

How reported in the announcement of this event, beer cans will depict a heart in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and the motto “Everyone can help Ukraine in the humanitarian effort.”

The initiative to brew Ukrainian brand beer in Belgium belongs to Hanna Rudenko, Chernihiv’s marketing director in Ukraine, who moved to Belgium with her family last month.

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has stopped production of Chernihiv lager and other beers at three of its breweries in Ukraine due to Russian invasion. Now Chernihiv region is liberated from Russian troops, but it is still impossible to resume production in Ukraine.
