According to SBU materials, a 56-year-old resident of the Kupyanskyi district, who was there at the time of the Russian invasion and went over to the enemy’s side, was notified of suspicion of collaboration.
This was reported by the spokesman of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region Vladislav Abdula
According to the investigation, in July of last year, the man voluntarily took the position of “acting of the economic worker of the department of administrative and economic support of the Dvurechansky Territorial Administration” in the illegal body of the occupying power.
In this position, the collaborator organized the collection and accounting of information about persons who received material assistance from the occupiers.
The attacker reported all the collected data and the work done to the “military-civilian administration” of Rashist.
According to the SBU, the illegally collected personal data of residents of the Kupyan district could be used by the occupiers to impose Russian citizenship on them in the future, as well as to prepare and hold a pseudo-referendum on joining the aggressor country.
After the de-occupation of the district, the collaborator remained in the village, hoping to avoid punishment. However, SBU operatives exposed his criminal activities.
According to the procedural guidance of the Kupyan District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv Region, the man was suspected of collaborative activity (part 2 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), said Dmytro Chubenko, the speaker of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv Region.
The detection and documentation of illegal activities was carried out by the SBU of the Kharkiv region together with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Kupyan district prosecutor’s office.
