Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny together with Chief of the General Staff Sergei Shaptala, Air Force Commander Nikolai Oleshchuk and Naval Forces Commander Alexey Neizhpapa had a telephone conversation with the Chief of the Joint Staff of the French Armed Forces, Army General Thierry Burcard.

“He talked about the operational situation at the front, the course of military operations, the enemy’s actions and his probable plans,” Zaluzhny wrote.

The military discussed the importance of continuing to search for technological solutions to gain an advantage over invaders in the air, remote demining and fire engagement of occupiers’ targets, the commander-in-chief noted.

According to him, during the conversation, the military leaders specifically focused on the issues of strengthening air defense systems, training Ukrainian military personnel and restoring the combat effectiveness of units.

“I thanked my French partners for their consistent support and assistance to Ukraine in the struggle for freedom and independence. Together to victory!” – he summed up.
