“The de-occupation of Ukraine continues. In recent days, about two thousand square kilometers of Ukrainian territory have been liberated from Russian occupation. Our units have entered Kupyansk, and the liberation of the settlements of the Kupyansky and Izyumsky districts of the Kharkiv region continues,” the military said.
In response to the successful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops launched “countermeasures” in settlements in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kharkov and Kherson regions.
They tightened the administrative-police regime and banned entry and exit from settlements.
In Kherson, searches were conducted in the apartments of the Vostochny microdistrict, from which the Antonovsky bridge is visible. Local residents of Kakhovka and Kozatsky were warned about opening fire to kill if they approached the crossings.
The General Staff also said that due to significant losses, the Russian invaders are planning to carry out the so-called “mobilization” of the male population in the temporarily occupied territories. Now men are forbidden to leave settlements.
Russia is shelling Ukrainian positions along the entire line of confrontation.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sosnovka, Mayorsk, Nikolaevka Second, Zaitsevo, Veselaia Dolina, Soledar, Bakhmut, Peski, Pervomayskoye and Novomikhailovka.
- Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Painter appealed to Ukrainians with a request not to rush to inform each other about the liberation of new settlements from Russian occupation. Even if the Armed Forces of Ukraine physically entered the settlement, this does not mean that Ukraine “controls” it – for this it is necessary to carry out a whole series of “liberation measures”.
