In Poland, a Ukrainian was detained, who was driving a car with 6 ppm of alcohol in his blood.
The incident took place in the city of Nowy Tomysl, Greater Poland Voivodeship. An eyewitness noticed the driver of a VW Golf pulling into the parking lot. The man was concerned about the way the driver drove and behaved.
He approached the driver to find out what happened, and when he opened the window, he smelled a sharp smell of alcohol coming from the cabin.
Then the witness took the keys from the drunk driver and called the police. The law enforcement officers checked the Ukrainian with a breathalyzer – he showed 6 ppm of alcohol in the blood, which is a critical dose.
For driving while intoxicated, a citizen of Ukraine faces imprisonment for a term of up to 2 years, a fine and deprivation of the right to drive a car.
