The announcement said that the period of royal mourning for the death of Queen Elizabeth II will continue for another seven days after the funeral.

As noted in the palace, the date of the funeral will be confirmed later. They will take place for about 10 days in London’s Westminster Abbey. Previously, the British government declared national mourning until the end of the day of the state funeral.

Flags at royal residences, which will be closed to the public, will remain at half-mast throughout the mourning period.
