The government and parliament of Denmark have agreed on additional funding for the fund from which money is allocated for military aid to Ukraine.

This is stated in the statement Ministry of Defense of Denmark.

According to the agreement, this year the size of the fund will increase by 2.3 billion Danish kroner (approximately 310 million euros).

In addition, the Danish government will allocate additional funds to finance military aid programs to Ukraine in the period from 2025 to 2027. In total, Copenhagen will provide 23.5 billion crowns (3.15 billion euros) to the Armed Forces over three years.

Thus, 60.4 billion Danish crowns (8.1 billion euros) will be reserved for the needs of Ukraine within the framework of the Military Support Fund of Ukraine for 2023-2027.

“We do not know how long the war in Ukraine will last, but we know that donations are necessary for Ukraine to continue the fight against Russia. Throughout the war, Denmark has been a faithful friend of Ukraine, and when we now increase our support, we are sending a clear signal that Ukrainians can count on Denmark’s support in the long term.” – said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

We will remind, at the end of October it became known that Denmark will transfer to Ukraine a package of weapons worth more than half a billion dollars.

It was also reported that the country’s authorities will increase assistance for the development of Ukraine in 2024.
