The number of people injured as a result of a rocket attack by Russian occupiers on a residential building in Dnipro has increased.

This is stated in the message in Telegram channels State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations. “As of 21:00 on January 16, 39 people were rescued (including 6 children), 40 people died (including 3 children), 77 people were injured (including 14 children), 47 reports of missing persons were received (of which 18 were found dead, 4 people were found alive by relatives, in hospitals, 25 people are currently being sought,” the State Emergency Service reported.

Psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 174 victims. Search and rescue operations and dismantling of dangerous structural elements are ongoing.

Communal services removed more than 8,500 tons of construction debris and 41 damaged cars.

As UNIAN reported, on January 14, Russian terrorists hit a high-rise building in Dnipro, where more than 1,100 people lived, with a rocket. The explosion completely destroyed one of the sections of the building.
