This was stated by New York University professor Ihor Eisenberg on the air of the Espresso TV channel.
“Ilon Musk can have an absolutely devastating influence on world politics. He did not agree to the inclusion of the Starlink service to operate over Crimea, with the aim of striking the Russian Black Sea Fleet with Ukrainian drones. I would compare the attitude of his policy to Trump’s policy when the latter had a meeting in Helsinki with Putin and tried to please him,” said the New York University professor.
According to him, Musk plays an even more destructive role. Trump, after all, was the president, he had certain frameworks within which he could act. There is no framework for Musk.
“His attachment to dictators like Putin is the same as Trump’s. The United States as a state must take care to do something about it,” Eisenberg noted.
Musk’s role will be even more disruptive if he doesn’t have competitors and legal frameworks to limit what he does.
“Musk cannot become the president of the United States, because he was not born in the United States. But his influence on American, world politics and on world events can be very destructive. In the current Congress, I think it is impossible to do that. The Republican majority will always like what Musk does,” Igor Eisenberg believes.
