Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Sochi for bilateral talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
The Turkish publication TRT Haber reports that Erdogan’s visit to the Russian Federation will last only one day, writes UNIAN.
Negotiations have already begun in the Green Hall of the Imperial building of the Sochi Rus sanatorium.
At a joint press meeting with Erdogan, the president of the aggressor country said that they “have a lot to talk about from the point of view of ensuring security in the region.”
“Of course, we will not ignore the issues related to the Ukrainian crisis,” the dictator said.
The New York Times notes that the meeting is taking place against the background of international calls to restore the Black Sea Grain Initiative (“grain agreement”), which allowed Ukraine to export food via the Black Sea in conditions of a full-scale war.
