Head of the Office of the President Andrey Ermak denied information that the President Vladimir Zelensky allegedly wants to replace the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. This is what he’s talking about reported in an interview with Natalya Moseychuk.
According to him, there is and remains unity in the Ukrainian military-political leadership.
“We have a common position – to win the war. There is a constant dialogue, constant work 24/7,” Ermak said.
He noted that “I have not heard that Zelensky wanted to replace Zaluzhny.”
“I don’t have such information. We are thinking about how to win this war and are doing everything every day to make this happen,” said the head of the OP.
- Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the Russians have been using a narrative about an alleged conflict between the political and military leadership of Ukraine, sometimes this disinformation is also replicated by internal forces in Ukraine.
- November 7, 2023 people’s deputy Vladimir Ariev stated that the Minister of Defense submitted a proposal to dismiss the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but subsequently deleted this message and published a refutation. His message was spread by Russian propaganda and some Ukrainian resources. The Minister of Defense subsequently responded to this.
- Fake materials appeared on the Internet in which the voice and video of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny was faked. In it, the occupiers again made false claims about the alleged conflict between the commander-in-chief and the president.
