On Saturday night, during the shelling of Ukraine, the Russian aggressors simultaneously launched cruise missiles and guided air defense bombs “KAB” for the first time.
This was said by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliya Humeniuk, on the air of the telethon on October 21. informs Correspondent.
“This is clearly an attempt by the enemy to launch a missile strike as efficiently as possible for themselves, because they know that we cannot work on the air defense systems,” she said.
According to Humenyuk, that night, guided air bombs from tactical aviation planes were directed at the front territories and cruise missiles of the Kh-59 type at the further territories of the second echelon of training, for example, at Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv region, at the same time.
Attack drones were also used.
“Actually, everything was simultaneous and aimed at exhausting the anti-aircraft defense and with the maximum achievement of the result,” Gumenyuk stated.
