The French side provided assistance to the energy sector of Ukraine – about 73 tons of materials and equipment. This helps Ukrainian energy companies to restore facilities and networks destroyed by Russian attacks.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

«The French side will continue to provide assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector in the form of equipment necessary for restoration work“, the ministry notes with reference to the Minister of Energy Transition of France, Agnes Panier-Runachet.

In particular, on November 22, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko held an online meeting with the Minister of Energy Transition of the French Republic, Agnes Panier-Runache. During the conversation, the ministers paid special attention to the current situation at Ukrainian nuclear power plants, in particular, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe occupied by Russia – the Zaporizhia NPP. The minister emphasized that the constant shelling of the nuclear plant poses a direct threat to the nuclear safety not only of Ukraine, but also of the whole of Europe. The parties discussed the activities of the IAEA monitoring mission at the station, and also emphasized the need for the fastest possible demilitarization and deoccupation of the ZNPP.

Earlier, Ukraine received two batteries of Crotale air defense systems from France.
