Germany will allocate another 300 million euros to Ukraine: what will the funds be used for

The German government will provide Ukraine with 300 million euros to strengthen energy security.

This was announced by the German ambassador in Kyiv, Martin Jaeger, in his X-account.

The funds will be allocated to the national energy company “Ukrenergo”, they will be used to repair and modernize networks.

The ambassador added that, in total, Germany allocated more than 625 million euros to support Ukraine’s energy system.

“Even more is planned. In addition to much-needed repair assistance, we are increasing support for the development of decentralized energy.” Yeger noted.

Building on our long-lasting partnership, Germany is providing Ukrenego with over 300 mn. EUR of support for grid repair and modernization. Ukrenego is among the main beneficiaries of our 200 mn. It will be recalled that it recently became known that Germany will provide Ukraine with an additional package of military aid in the amount of 1.3 billion euros.

It was also reported that the German government will provide Ukraine with a grant of 50 million euros for business loans.
