Greece has started supplying Ukraine with BMP – Kuleba

The Greek authorities have started supplying Ukraine with infantry fighting vehicles (BMP-1).

This was stated in the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, at the press conference following the negotiations with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Dendias.

«I will not hide it, we especially appreciate the weapons that Greece transfers to Ukraine so that we can defend our land. It is very important that the long-awaited shipment of BMP-1 armored infantry vehicles from Greece to Ukraine has already begun. Soon they will arrive in our army and will instantly increase the fighting capacity and defense capability of our country“, he noted.

Earlier, Kuleba announced that Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to urgently provide air defense systems to protect against Russian missile attacks.

It also became known that the Ukrainian army received 40 Soviet infantry fighting vehicles (BMP-1) from Greece.
