The pre-trial investigation established that in May of this year, the accused came to a store of accessories and electronic equipment on Gagarin Avenue in Kharkiv. When the saleswoman turned her back to him, he began to strangle her and ordered the woman to close the shop door.
After that, the attacker tied the woman’s hands and taped her mouth. At the same time, he took out a gun from under his clothes and began to threaten the shopkeeper, informs prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region.
The man took mobile phones, routers, and laptops from the store, causing damage to the owner in the amount of almost 100,000 hryvnias.
Having taken the looted property, the perpetrator fled to Poltava, where he was detained by police officers in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of eight to fifteen years with confiscation of property.
The Slobid District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv approved and sent to the Chervonozavod District Court of Kharkiv an indictment against a 57-year-old man for robbery committed during martial law (Part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
