Melnik said that “if the German chancellor (Olaf Scholz. – Ord.) and the Minister of Defense (Christine Lambrecht. – Ord.) did not refuse us the supply of Marder infantry fighting vehicles, as well as Fuchs, Dingo and Fennek armored personnel carriers, the Ukrainian army could have started the liberation of the occupied territories much earlier.”
He also urged the German government to open supplies of such equipment “at least now, after the first successes,” adding that it “will save many lives.”
The Ambassador also wrote today in Twitterthat “the delivery of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine would be a clear sign that the German chancellor and his parliamentary coalition are indeed the leaders of Europe.”
