From now on, Ihor Klymenko will hold the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Head of the National Police of Ukraine and simultaneously perform the duties of the Minister of Internal Affairs. The Government made the relevant decision today, January 18.

Ihor Klymenko noted on the air of the telethon “The Only News” that the plane crash that happened today in Brovary is a huge tragedy and a loss for the entire team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine:

“We are all devastated. We have lost our professional leaders, authoritative people and comrades. We built a good team, which even during the period of martial law performed the functions entrusted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I want to express my condolences to the families of all those who died in the disaster. Today, our main task is to continue the policy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which was initiated and successfully implemented by Minister Monastyrskyi. We have to perform all tasks in memory of our comrades, our brothers. Therefore, our team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the National Guard, the Border Service, and the Migration Service will do everything so that our country feels that we are standing by its protection.”

Answering the presenters’ questions about possible personnel appointments, Ihor Klymenko noted that, first of all, efforts will be aimed at stabilizing the work of all bodies and divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
