According to her, the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin counts on impunity, so everything possible must be done to hold the Kremlin accountable for its crimes on the territory of Ukraine.
She added that in addition to investigating war crimes, a special international tribunal should be set up.
Kallas also noted that if Russia’s aggression is not resisted, then this will be an invitation to continue it elsewhere.
“The fate of not only one sovereign and brave European nation is at stake. The entire rule-based order is under attack. If aggression pays off somewhere, this is an invitation to continue it elsewhere,” Kallas said.
