In Kharkiv, five institutions of higher education are planning a mixed form of education

Educational institutions of the Kharkiv Region are preparing for the new academic year: the main criterion for the work of educators in the new academic year will be the safety of student groups.

In accordance with the decision of the Defense Council of the Kharkiv region dated July 7, 2023, educational institutions of all forms of ownership are able to independently determine the form of organization of the educational process, it was recalled in HOVA. The final decision on the format of the schools’ work will be made by local authorities. Institutions of higher education also independently choose the form of education and inform the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine about it, Oleksiy Lytvynov, director of the Department of Science and Education of HOVA, said.

“There are two main criteria that must be taken into account when preparing for the new academic year – ensuring safety and taking into account the opinions of all participants in the educational process: parents, teachers, children and the administration of these institutions,” stressed Oleksiy Litvinov.

The director of the Department of Science and Education of the HOVA noted that for the organization of a mixed format of education, it is mandatory to have shelters in educational institutions that correspond to the DBN of a certain category.

“I would like to emphasize that today the leadership of the region is serious and is directing law enforcement agencies and the State Emergency Service to actively check the compliance of the shelters with the DBN,” said Oleksiy Lytvynov.

According to operational data announced by Oleksiy Lytvynov, today 1.5% of the total network of general secondary education institutions plan to start education in a mixed format: these are 8 institutions of Zachepylivska, 1 – Kegichyvska and 2 – Sakhnovshchyna TG, covering more than 3 thousand students . Also, more than 90% of preschool institutions chose distance education, with the exception of 15 kindergartens in Lozivska TG and 3 private institutions in the city of Kharkiv.

Five institutions of higher education are planning a mixed form of education: Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazina, Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, Kharkiv National University of Arts named after I.P.
