On Monday, November 7, due to the growing shortage of electricity, emergency blackouts may be applied in Kyiv.
This was reported by the KMDA in Telegram.
According to forecasts of Ukrenergo, the deficit in the energy system will be 32% greater than predicted. That is why blackouts will start as early as 7 am.
It is noted that during such events, disconnection schedules will not be in effect.
“Such measures are necessary to avoid shortages in the energy system and to prevent overloading of the high-voltage infrastructure”– said the KMDA.
Also, Ukrenergo informed that electricity supply will be limited on November 7 in 7 regions. In particular, in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava.
We will remind, the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko told whether it is possible for the capital to remain without water, electricity and communication. According to him, such an option is not excluded.
The authorities of Kyiv are planning a total evacuation of the population in the event of a complete failure of the power grid – they are going to evacuate 3 million people from the city.
