The company is registered at the address of the office complex of the same name, which opened in November, in a residential area of St. Petersburg. The building was built by JSC “Retail”, of which Prigozhin became the director after the opening of the building.

Oleksiy Tensin has been appointed general director of PVK Wagner Center JSC. From October 1, 2019 to November 16, 2021, Tensin managed the main production site of Kalashnikov Concern JSC, based in Izhevsk, and before that he held the position of quality director in this arms production holding, the company’s press service reported.

After registering JSC “PVK Wagner Center”, Tensin closed access to his page in the social network.

It should be noted that until the middle of 2022, the Russian authorities and Prigozhin himself shunned Wagner’s PMC. Officials denied its existence, and its founder assured that he had nothing to do with the company.

Although at that time, Russian mercenaries from Wagner’s PMK participated in hostilities in the east of Ukraine, Syria, Sudan, and the Central African Republic. And this despite the fact that the articles on mercenary and the creation of illegal armed formations were in force in the Russian Criminal Code.

  • We will remind you that Wagner’s PMC appeared in 2014 and actively operated in a number of countries where Russia has important interests of Russia – in particular, Syria, Libya, CAR and Ukraine. There, among other things, they committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the Wagnerites took part in massacres of civilians. Prisoners from Russian prisons are currently being recruited to the PVC. Prigozhin recruits mercenaries for the war in Ukraine as well as in Africa.
  • For a long time, Prigozhin denied the connection with Wagner’s PMC, and recently confirmed the existence of this group. The oligarch, who is under Western sanctions, is considered to be close to Putin and a supporter of an aggressive war against Ukraine.
  • Earlier it became known that the members of the European Parliament want to recognize Wagner’s private military company as a terrorist organization.
  • At the end of November, the Bloomberg agency, citing its own sources, reported that the administration of the US president is considering the possibility of declaring the Wagner PMC a foreign terrorist organization.
  • The Center for Research on Corruption and Organized Crime (OCCRP) announced PMK founder Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin as “person of the year” in the category “organized crime and corruption”.
