The enemy launched 1 missile and 36 air strikes, carried out more than 35 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas, informs General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of a rocket attack by Russian terrorist forces on a gymnasium in the settlement of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.
Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
In the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, continues shelling of populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
About 20 settlements, including Turya, Bleshnya, Tymonovichi, Arkhipivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda of Chernihiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks; Seredyna-Buda, Fotovizh, Shalygine, Golyshivske, Novodmytrivka and Porozok of the Sumy region.
In the Kupyan direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 3 enemy attacks near Synkivka and 5 attacks near Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.
The enemy launched an air strike in the area of Synkivka. More than 15 settlements, in particular, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Kislivka, and Berestov of the Kharkiv region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Avdiyivka direction, our defenders are courageously holding the defense, repulsed 10 enemy attacks in the area of the Avdiyivka settlement and another 8 attacks in the areas east of Stepovoy and south-east of Severny, Donetsk region. The occupiers carried out more than 10 airstrikes in the Avdiivka area.
In the Mariinsky direction, during the day, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 8 enemy attacks in the Maryinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region.
During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes on areas where the enemy’s personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.
Units of the missile forces hit the area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 9 artillery pieces, an ammunition depot and the enemy’s radar station.
