At the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Supreme Court finally banned the activities of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” party in Ukraine.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
According to the agency, on September 15, the Administrative Court of Cassation as part of the Supreme Court of Ukraine rejected the appeal of the pro-Russian political party “Opposition Platform – For Life” (“OPZZ”) and thus finally banned its activities in our country.
It should be noted that the decision to prohibit the operation of the OPZZ was made on the basis of a presidential decree and a decision of the National Security Council. They were based on evidence of its destructive activities, collected within the SBU’s response to threats to national security.
«It is primarily about demonstrative support and popularization of Russia’s aggressive anti-Ukrainian policy, both at the level of the leadership and its rank-and-file members“, the SBU writes.
The SBU reported that the OPZZ actually relayed the official position of the aggressor country towards Ukraine and caused significant damage to the interests of our state.
It is also known that the involvement of leading officials of the National Security Service in activities that “create real threats to the national interests, security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine” was established.
We will remind you that on June 20, the Eighth Appeal Administrative Court of Lviv satisfied the lawsuit of the Ministry of Justice and banned the party “Opposition Platform – For Life”.
OPZHA became the 11th pro-Russian party whose activities were banned by court order. The court banned, in particular, “Opposition Bloc”, “Sharia Party”, “Nashi”, “Volodymyr Saldo Bloc”, Socialist Party of Ukraine.
We will remind you that on April 14, the National Security and Defense Council suspended the activities of the OPZZ faction in the parliament.
