On the morning of September 15, more than 32,000 Hasidim arrived in Uman, Cherkasy Region, to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
This is reported by the United Jewish Community of Ukraine.
Just yesterday, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, reported that as of September 14, about 22,000 pilgrims had arrived in Uman. Mostly from Israel, the USA and a number of European countries.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, their number is now approximately 32,332. So far, the Hasidic pilgrimage in Uman is going smoothly.
It should be noted that this year’s pilgrimage in Uman will be the largest in the last few years. Last year, 23,000 Hasids came to the celebration.
This year, Rosh Hashanah is celebrated from September 15 to 17.
We will remind, the other day it was reported that there are problems with mobile communication in Uman during the pilgrimage, as there is a heavy load on the network of Ukrainian operators. The Cherkasy OVA recommended that Hasids refrain from visiting Uman due to the war in Ukraine.
