On Tuesday, August 16, Russian troops attacked the military airfield in Zhytomyr Oblast – the attack was carried out from the territory of Belarus.
This was reported by the press service of the Center Air Command on Facebook.
According to the information of the Ukrainian military, the Russians raised the planes on the territory of Belarus and, trying to disguise the aviation activity as training flights, released two X-59 guided missiles at the military airfield in the Zhytomyr region.
As a result of the attack of the occupiers, the airstrip and several units of automobile equipment were damaged. There are no military casualties, as everyone was in shelter.
Earlier we wrote that as a result of rocket fire in Zhytomyr Oblast by the Russian occupiers on Tuesday, there were no casualties or fatalities. The airstrike itself was carried out from the territory of Belarus.
It will be recalled that the Russian troops struck Kharkiv again in the evening of August 16. Residents are asked to stay in shelters.
