A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Yevgeny Erin, suggested that the Russian occupiers will try to regroup on the left bank of the Kherson region in response to the consolidation of the Defense Forces in several bridgeheads. He stated this on air Radio Liberty.
“The occupiers will try to carry out some kind of regrouping. They have built a layered defense system, and as I understand it, they were preparing for such scenarios and assumed that they would have to retreat from the left bank. We will see how the situation develops further,” – he said.
According to him, the Ukrainian military continues to study the weak points of Russian defense.
Today, November 17, the Marine Corps command officially confirmed the consolidation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on three bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. The head of the Presidential Office spoke about this earlier Andrey Ermak.
- On November 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the alleged retreat of occupation forces on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, but pro-Kremlin media subsequently deleted the relevant messages, saying that the news was “cancelled as released by mistake.”
