On October 6, Russia signed an agreement with Iran to supply surface-to-surface missiles in addition to the Iranian kamikaze drones, which the aggressor country actively attacks Ukraine.

It is reported Reuters.

Two high-ranking Iranian officials and two Iranian diplomats told the newspaper that the agreement between the Russian Federation and Iran was concluded on October 6, when Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mohbar, two high-ranking officials of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and an official representative of the Supreme National Security Council visited Moscow for negotiations on the delivery of weapons. .

«The Russians have asked for more drones and Iranian ballistic missiles with increased accuracy, including the Fateh and Zolfaghar families of missiles“, said one of the Iranian diplomats.

A Western official confirmed the information and said there is an agreement between Iran and Russia to provide short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, including Zolfaghar.

One of the Iranian law enforcement officers noted that the missiles may be sent to the Russian Federation in 2-3 batches, but he did not name the estimated time of their delivery.

An Eastern European official who monitors Russia’s arms activities understands that this arms deal is happening, although she has no concrete evidence to back it up.

Another Iranian diplomat said that Russia had specifically requested the Fateh 110 and Zolfaghar short-range surface-to-surface missiles and that they would be sent in a maximum of 10 days.

At the same time, the Iranian diplomat rejected the assertion of Western officials that such transfers violate the resolution of the UN Security Council.

«Where they are used is not a question of the seller. We do not take sides in the Ukrainian crisis like the West. We want to end the crisis diplomatically“, – he said.
