Israel has warned residents of the northern Gaza Strip that those who do not evacuate the danger zone may be identified as terrorist collaborators. About it reports Reuters.
To warn the civilian population, leaflets with the IDF logo were dropped over the northern Gaza Strip and text messages were sent to all mobile phones in the danger zone.
The messages and leaflets stated that “anyone who chooses not to leave northern Gaza could be identified as an associate of a terrorist organization.”
On October 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that all residents of the northern Gaza Strip (approximately 1.1 million people) must evacuate to the southern Gaza Strip within 24 hours βfor their own safety.β Hamas then called on locals βnot to go anywhere.β
British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps noted that Israel warned civilians of the danger in advance, while Hamas “did not do this before they started killing people.”
